「CS:GO」と「Team Fortress 2」のソースコードがリーク

Valveの「Counter-Strike: Global Offensive」と「Team Fortress 2」のソースコードがリークした可能性があることが明らかになった

リークしたソースコードは最新のものではなく、2017～2018年のものだとされている。

ソースコードは古いものではあるが、リークによってハッキングが容易になる可能性もあるため、安全性を考慮してサーバーを一時的に停止させることを発表しているコミュニティも登場している。

ソースコードのリークはチートプログラムの作成にも役立つ可能性があるため、懸念が広まっている。

CSGOの開発チームによると、最新バージョンのクライアントでプレイする場合は流出したコードによるセキュリティリスクは無いとのこと。

We have reviewed the leaked code and believe it to be a reposting of a limited CS:GO engine code depot released to partners in late 2017, and originally leaked in 2018. From this review, we have not found any reason for players to be alarmed or avoid the current builds.
